Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing has formally launched the Epping Forest Business Forum - an opportunity for local businesses to connect with each other, with their MP and with residents of the Epping Forest district.
The Forum will host breakfast seminars, round table meetings and networking events allowing participants to discuss relevant issues and ideas with Mrs Laing and with each other.
The project will enable participants to learn about developments in their sector and across Epping Forest as a whole, whilst making use of events to build contacts and foster connections for future growth.
Those taking part can expect to hear from ministers and local leaders and Mrs Laing hopes to hold an event at the House of Commons, exclusively for Epping Forest businesses, within the next year.
Mrs Laing said: “I am delighted to finally be getting this project off the ground. Local businesses are at the heart of our economy and we’re certainly not short of wonderful companies in Epping Forest.
“It is with pleasure and privilege that I have served the people of Epping Forest for nearly 15 years, and it is with the uttermost enthusiasm that I help my constituents to boost their businesses and to gain national recognition for their work.”
Mrs Laing serves the constituency of Epping Forest which comprises Loughton, Epping, Waltham Abbey, Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill, Theydon Bois, North Weald, the surrounding villages and the ancient forest itself.
The Epping Forest Business Forum is seeking contact from companies based in and around Epping Forest; particularly those interested in hosting or attending events, or receiving information about future opportunities with the Forum.
