Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing has launched the Epping Forest Business Forum at an event attended by about 50 representatives from local businesses.
 
Epping Forest Chamber of Commerce president Heather Thirtle, Chamber of Commerce chairman John Price, Epping Forest District Council chief executive Glen Chipp, district council leader Chris Whitbread and Buckhurst Hill and Loughton South county councillor Valerie Metcalfe were among the guests at the reception held at Loughton Cricket Club last week.
 
Eleanor said: “I’m delighted that so many people involved in our local businesses came along to the launch event.
 
"I did not know whether there would be real enthusiasm for this venture so I’m very pleased that so many people have said that they would like to come to more events like this in the future.
 
“I hope the EFBF will become the voice of local businesses as well as being a great networking opportunity and a catalyst for future success.”
