A slice of Epping Forest history ... 

Local activists recently came across some images of Conservative Prime Minster, Margaret Thatcher opening 'Thatcher House.'  Her name sake is the home of Epping Forest Conservatives, based in the heart of the constituency in Loughton. This image was taken early in her premiership around 1980.  Thatcher House remains open as a busy association office today.
