Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing has become the patron of Family Care Counselling Service.
The charity, which is based in Waltham Abbey and serves the Epping Forest area, offers professional, low cost, confidential counselling and therapy to individual adults and couples.
The service is provided by qualified counsellors.
Mrs Laing visited the charity’s office today (Friday) and met with Family Care manager Alex Dalziel, new chairman Rev’d Joyce Smith and trustees.
Mrs Laing said: “I was very impressed by the organisation. I appreciate the importance of counselling and early intervention when families have problems and I hope that medical practitioners and others will consider using the services of Family Care even more than they do at present.
“I am delighted to have become patron of such a worthwhile organisation.”
